JORDAN'S STORY

Before I knew what cortisol was, it was running my life

I was a nurse and a new mom. On paper, I had the tools to understand my body. In reality, I was exhausted in a way that sleep could not fix, gaining weight despite doing everything right, snapping at my kids over nothing, and lying awake at 3am for reasons I could not explain.

I tried the diets. I tried the workouts. I tried cutting carbs, eating less, pushing harder. Nothing moved. If anything, I felt worse. More depleted. More frustrated. More convinced that something was wrong with me specifically.

More than anything, I wanted to feel like myself again. Not a better version of myself. Just the version I recognized.

The moment everything changed

My husband Sterling is a pharmacist. One evening I was going through my symptoms out loud — the fatigue, the weight, the sleep, the mood — and he stopped me and asked a simple question: have you ever had your cortisol looked at?

I had not. I was a nurse and it had never occurred to me. We spent the next several weeks going deep into the research together. What we found changed how I understood everything I had been experiencing.

Chronic cortisol elevation does not just make you stressed. It disrupts estrogen metabolism, depletes your antioxidant defenses, damages gut lining, suppresses dopamine, and drives the exact symptoms I had been fighting for years. This was not a willpower problem. It was a hormonal and physiological one.

Why supplements — and why these ones specifically

Once we understood the mechanism, Sterling started mapping what the research said the body needed to support cortisol regulation. The list was long — DIM, L-Theanine, Mucuna Pruriens, Glutathione, probiotics, butyrate. Each one had clinical backing. Each one was available separately.

But six separate bottles at the right doses is not a realistic ask for a working mom. It is expensive, confusing, and nobody stays consistent with it. We needed something that combined the most important compounds in forms the body could actually absorb.

After reviewing a lot of products, we found what we were looking for. Sterling reviewed every formulation personally before I tried anything. The science came first. The recommendation followed.

He now serves on the medical advisory board for the company behind these products. We are upfront about that. What matters is that he looked at these labels as a pharmacist before he looked at them as a husband — and he told me they were worth trying.

What changed — and how quickly

I want to be honest here because the timeline matters. Not everything happened at once, and I do not want to oversell what day one feels like. There are two very different experiences — what happens almost immediately, and what builds over weeks.

Day one — within 15 minutes of taking Xcelerate

The first thing most women notice is energy. Not a jittery caffeinated rush — a clean, focused shift. Within about fifteen minutes I had the kind of clarity and drive that made me actually want to move. I worked out that first morning. I got down on the floor and played with my kids in a way I had not in months. I got through my list without dragging. All of it on day one.

Noticeable within 15 minutes, same day

The drive to actually work out came back

Intentional, engaged playtime instead of going through the motions

Calmer, sharper, more like yourself within the first hour

The slower changes — weeks two through six

The deeper changes took longer. Hormonal and metabolic shifts do not happen in a day. But they happened consistently, and they built on each other.

No more 3am waking, noticeable around week two

The drive to eat for cortisol instead of hunger quieted down

More patience, less reactivity, present for my family in a lasting way

By week six, real progress after years of nothing moving

The underlying dysregulation started resolving over weeks of consistent use

Not a new person. Just the version I had been missing

I share all of this because I know how many women are quietly living what I was living. You are not broken. You are not lazy. You are dealing with a hormonal reality that nobody explained to you and there is something you can do about it.

"Three months postpartum with PCOS, I was exhausted, gaining weight, snappy with my kids, and running on fumes. I started the full protocol and slowly my body responded. At 9 months postpartum I am down 35 lbs, less reactive, less inflamed — and for the first time in my life, two months of periods with no cramps and no dread. I did not know that was possible for me."

I reviewed both the Power of 3 and Xcelerate formulations before Jordan ever tried them. Each one addresses a distinct physiological layer. The Trifecta adds G3 for the gut, where ninety percent of serotonin is produced and where chronic cortisol does the most long-term damage. This is the combination I recommend.
